Sophia plays the Irish National Guitar Festival!

Hello Folks! So, here I am on the Yamaha trade Stand, on Saturday 10th April, at the first ever Irish National Guitar Festival. Its being held in the lovely little town of Drogheda just outside Dublin, by music retailers The Sound Shop. I am here to demo the NTX1200, a great new nylon string guitar as played by Paolo Nutini and Rodrigo of Mexican Duo Rodrigo y Gabriella. In fact, the guitar that Yamaha have given me is the actual guitar pictured in the Rodrigo y Gabriella, Yamaha advert!

Yesterday I performed Beaumont Rag on the Irish national radio RTE 2, on Rick O'Shea's show - I was followed by the Taoiseach (the Irish Prime Minister!) Bryan Cowan! I am doing four more performances over the weekend, mixing things up between bluegrass, swing jazz and classical, all played on nylon strings. I f you are in the area come down to the TLT Theatre in Drogheda, there is lots to do and see, a heaven for guitar geeks like me!
