Sophia Aims For Avalon

Taking place every November at Leicester Racecourse, acoustic guitar specialists Sheehans Music hold the Acoustic Avalon show - a veritable feast of all things acoustic guitar. Bringing a little bit of Toy Hearts magic to Avalon 2009, Sophia will be playing solo sets on both the Saturday and Sunday shows to demonstrate Yamaha’s new NX nylon string guitars. According to Sophia, the new guitars are perfect “a few years ago I suffered from a condition called dequervains tenosynovitis - that makes stretching with my left hand impossible across a regular nylon string fretboard for any sustained period - certainly any kind of gig! These new guitars from Yamaha have a smaller fretboard which means I can get back into nylon strings
in comfort. It’s nice to be playing nylon again as this was where I started and it lends a totally different feel to whatever you play”. For more details on the show, visit:
